Frequently asked questions.

When is this trip?

The weekend runs Thursday, May 21 – Monday, May 25, 2026. Come early or stay late if you’d like — Morocco rewards those who linger.

Where are we staying?

Guests will be accommodated at La Mamounia, Nobu Hotel Marrakech, Sofitel Marrakech Palais Imperial & Spa, and the Hivernage Hotel & Spa — all located within a five-minute walk of one another in the Hivernage district.

How do I get there?

Most flights connect through Paris, Lisbon, or Madrid into Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK). From there, a 20-minute private transfer will glide you into the city. Highly recommend pre-booking so you skip the taxi hustle.

What’s weather like?

Late May in Marrakech is reliably warm and sunny, with daytime highs in the mid-80s°F (around 29°C) and cooler evenings in the 60s–70s°F (16–24°C). Pack light, breathable fabrics for daytime adventures, a light layer for evenings, and a hat or scarf to shield from the sun while wandering the Medina. Sunblock and sunglasses are essential — you’ll want to fully enjoy the golden light that makes this city so magical.

Is Marrakesh safe?

Yes — Marrakech is welcoming, and the Medina, Gueliz, and Hivernage are all well-traveled and secure. That said, it’s still a bustling city, so standard urban awareness is recommended:

  • Keep an eye on your belongings in crowded areas, especially souks.

  • Use pre-arranged private transfers from the airport for peace of mind.

  • Stick to well-lit streets at night, and follow your driver or local guides.

When these tips are followed, safety is easy, and you can focus on the sights, smells, and sounds of the city — and maybe a rooftop cocktail or two.

Will there be group activities?

Yes — but this weekend is designed for both connection and flexibility. There will be curated group experiences, from desert evenings under the stars to rooftop dinners and guided souk explorations. At the same time, there will be plenty of alone or free time so you can nap, explore on your own, relax at the pool, or enjoy a hammam. You can choose to stick with the group the entire time, or craft your own personal adventure — the weekend is yours to experience how you wish.

What should I pack?

For Marrakech in late May, think light, breezy fabrics — linen is your best friend during the sun-soaked days. Bring something chic for dinners, swimsuits for pool time or hammam visits, and comfortable shoes for wandering the winding streets and colorful souks. A scarf or shawl is handy for visiting religious sites, and sunglasses are essential — trust me, you’ll be glad you packed them. Layers are key for the evenings, when the temperature dips slightly and the city glows in golden light. We will provide a more prescriptive dress code one month prior to departure.

Who else is coming?

This will be an intimate gathering of friends from New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and beyond.
